Consists of publications, correspondence, speeches, notes, audiotapes, photographs and other materials of Kenealy. Parts of the collection deal with the Campaign for Human Development, Wheeling College, Boston College and the New England Province of the Society of Jesus. Many of Kenealy's speeches and writings concern racism and segregation in America. Most of the correspondence dates from 1955 to 1968.

Jesuit professor of law and administrator. Kenealy was born in Boston and joined the Jesuits in 1922. From 1939-1943, 1946-1956 he was Dean of the Boston College Law School. During World War Two, Kenealy served as a Chaplain in the United States Navy. He taught law at several Jesuit universities during the 1950s and 60s, and from 1968 to 1971 he served as director of the National Office of the Jesuit Social Apostolate.
